About the suburb
Pacific Pines (“Pac Pines”, to the locals) is a northern suburb in the city of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The suburb has a rich history that began way back in 1847 when it was just a part of a large pastoral run known as Cumboomba. In 1867, this pastoral run was leased by William Duckett White, a pastoralist and politician in Queensland, Australia.Zoom forward to 1917, and the area was acquired by the National Australia Bank.
In 1994, the name Pacific Pines was approved for this area. Over the next nine years, the development of the suburb accelerated, with the creation of schools, parklands, a medical centre, sports facilities, e.t.c.
Finally in 2003, it became a suburb.
This suburb presently has a population of over 16,000 individuals.
